On November 8, Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property (SICIP) organized its 2025 new students to participate in a thematic practical activity at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE). Combining on-site visits and high-level forums, Chinese and international students gained a direct experience of the fruitful achievements of China's high-level opening-up, gained insights into cutting-edge trends in global economic and trade development, broadened international horizons, and strengthened cross-cultural communication capabilities. Qin Wenzhong, Secretary of the SICIP Party Committee; Dang Jianwei, Vice Dean (in charge of overall affairs); Lin Min, Deputy Secretary of the SICIP Party Committee, and more than 60 Chinese and international students attended the activity.
In the morning, the students visited the CIIE Intellectual Property Protection and Commercial Dispute Resolution Service Center. Guided by the on-site officials, they learned how the "one-stop" service platform responds promptly to and handles IP complaints and commercial disputes during the exhibition, and experienced China's practical measures to improve the business environment and strengthen intellectual property protection. From complaint acceptance and consulting guidance to dispute mediation, the efficient mechanism gave students a concrete understanding that "protecting intellectual property is protecting innovation".
