WIPO Copyright Officials Gave Lectures for SICIP Students

From 23-26 November 2020, Ms. Michele Woods, Director of Copyright Law Division of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Ms. Gao Hang, Director of the Copyright Development Division of WIPO gave lectures about international copyright law online for SICIP students enrolled in WIPO-Tongji Intellectual Property Master’s Degree program. The lectures mainly covered WIPO’s procedures for the development of international copyright treaties, the Berne Convention, the WIPO Copyright Treaty, the WIPO Performance and Phonograms Treaty, the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired or Otherwise Print Disabled, the Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances, and the principles of the international copyright framework.


On the evening of 25 November, Ms. Michele Woods delivered college-level advanced lecture for all SICIP students on the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on creative industries.
