On July 28, 2020, the Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property of Tongji University and the People's Court of Chongming District, Shanghai signed a "Memorandum of Cooperation". The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation and communication on talent training, teaching and research practices, and international cooperation. Mr. Zhu Dan, the Party Secretary and Dean of Chongming District Court, Mr. Shen Xuanmin, the Vice Dean of Chongming District Court, Prof. Song Xiaoting, the Chairman of College Council, SICIP and Prof. Shan Xiaoguang, the Dean of SICIP attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches.

Mr. Shen Xuanmin, the vice dean of the Chongming District Court of Shanghai, and Prof. Jiang Nan, the vice Dean of the Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property, Tongji University, signed the "Memorandum of Cooperation." Mr. Zhu Dan and Prof. Song Xiaoting jointly unveiled the "Teaching and Scientific Research Practice Base".

The Chongming District Court of Shanghai invited Prof. Song Xiaoting, Prof. Shan Xiaoguang, Prof. Ni Shoubin, and Associate Professor Xie Yan of SICIP as expert tutors of outstanding young judges of the Chongming District People’s Court. Mr. Zhu Dan issued a letter of appointment to expert tutors of outstanding young judges. Professors of our school made brief communication with outstanding young judges of the Chongming District Court.

Mr. Zhu Haojie, the President of the Trial and Supervision Division of Shanghai Chongming District People's Court, Mr. Liang Jin, the Director of the Office, and representatives of outstanding young judges, as well as Associate Professor Yu Xinmiao and Jiang Nan, the vice deans of SICIP, Ms. Lin Min, the Deputy Chairman of College Council, SICIP and some professors, attended the signing ceremony.

In recent years, Chongming Court, based on the situation of the island, gave a full application of its judicial functions and formed features such as environmental justice, tourism trials, and rural trials. The quality and efficiency of the trial and enforcement work of the Chongming District People’s Court continued to rank among the forefront of the city.

In recent years, Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property has been focusing on social services and maintaining international characteristics, and has provided students with a more comprehensive practical teaching base. During the pandemic, while doing a good job in the fight against the COVID-19, Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property signed cooperation and training agreements for talents with the third branch of the Shanghai People’s Procuratorate and the Shanghai Beshining Law Firm.
