Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Protection Centre Visit

International students of Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property (SICIP), Tongji University visit Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Protection Centre on Monday. 27th July 2020. Professor Jiang Nan and Ms. Cathy HAN also joined as the organizer and the representative of SICIP. The official visit was to make the international students of SICIP familiar with the intellectual property protection, enforcement, and judicial system of China.

On arrival of the international students and SICIP represented, officers of the Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Protection Centre warmly welcomed the SICIP team. A very comprehensive video presentation was given to the SICIP team about the whole working process of the Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Protection Centre after welcome. Officers from Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Protection Centre guided the team to explore each floor and gave brief information about the functions of each office and department.

After exploring the different offices and departments like judges’ offices, courtroom, management department, and meeting room, etc. The SICIP team along with five officers of the Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Protection Centre did a very comprehensive discussion in the conference room. Each of the five officers of the Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Protection Centre explained in detail about the working process and functions of their respective departments.

Three international students, Mr. Mohsin Ali from Pakistan, Mr. Ambe from Cameroon, and Ms. Nadjia from Algeria also briefly introduced their national intellectual property laws to the officers of the Protection Centre.

In the end, Mr. PanChunsen, director of intellectual property protection division of Pudong Intellectual Property Office, as a representative of the Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Protection Centre team, thanked the SICIP representatives and international visiting and hoped to offer international cooperation opportunities with SICIP.
