Aikaterini works at the World Intellectual Property Organization in the Patents and Technology Sector. She is responsible for supporting WIPO’s strategic goals to promote and encourage female engagement in IP. She has a Master's degree in Intellectual Property Law from Tongji University. As an active member of the European Law Students’ Association, she participated in committees at the United Nations in New York and Geneva. She believes that innovation and education are the most powerful weapons we can use to improve the world.

The master's program at Tongji University is an energetic environment that provided me with a pleasurable academic, professional, and personal experience. The Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property Law (SICIP) created a life experience through global collaborations with world-leading institutions and organizations, like the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Chinese National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). The lectures provided a holistic approach to intellectual property rights at a Chinese, European, and international level, and I had the chance to learn from the best domestic and foreign professors. Through the collaboration of my supervisor, I successfully completed my final assignment, and I understood the use of the research methodology to complete my research. In addition to academic programs, SICIP organized numerous co-curricular activities that I had the chance to participate in and gain personal experience. These include cultural activities, participation in the International Intellectual Property Forum, conferences, expos, and visits to the Shanghai High Court and the China Intellectual Property Training Center in Beijing. During my studies, I cooperated with my classmates from all over the world, helping me broaden my horizons and learn about the intellectual property system in other countries. All these consist of a unique experience that I would like to recommend to all.
