On August 12, 2019, the establishment ceremony and academic seminar of “Unitalen Intellectual Property Fund of Tongji University” (the “Fund”) were held in the Zonghe Building of Tongji University. Prof. Song Xiaoting, the Chairman of College Council, SICIP and Dr. Luo Suhua, the partner of Shanghai Branch of Unitalen Law Office, delivered speeches successively. Prof. Shan Xiaoguang, the Dean of SICIP, attended the ceremony and affirmed the early cooperation between the two sides, and put forward hope for the next step of cooperation.

Since 2014, Unitalen Law Office and Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property of Tongji University had maintained a good communication and interaction in training of intellectual property talent, construction of high-end practical course, discussion of legal frontier issues and other scientific research and academic communication activities. The establishment of the “Fund" will further promote the combination of the intellectual property theory and practice of Tongji University, give full play to the theoretical and practical advantages of both parties, promote the integration of production and education and the coordination of science and education, and produce fruitful results in the cultivation of outstanding intellectual property talents and the development of intellectual property discipline.
