International Students of Tongji-WIPO Program Started Internship in Shanghai Pudong New District People’s Court

On July 11, 2019, all of the international students of the Tongji-WIPO Program went to the Shanghai Pudong New District People’s Court for the internship program under the leadership of Associate Prof. Cheng Deli and Ms. Kong Weijia, the Class Teacher of Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property (SICIP).

The internship is a useful supplement to class teaching and an important way to strengthen the cultivation of students’ practical ability. To make a good arrangement in the practical sections for Tongji-WIPO Program students, the SICIP and Shanghai High People’s Court jointly formulate a specific internship scheme. According to the scheme, international students of Tongji-WIPO program will conduct a two-month internship in the Shanghai High People’s Court, the Shanghai Intellectual Property People’s Court and another four primary courts with intellectual property jurisdiction such as Pudong New District People’s Court, Xuhui District People’s Court, Yangpu District People’s Court, and Putuo District People’s Court. The main forms of the internship include court hearing, discussion, investigation, and research on judicial documents.
