Recently, Prof. Cheng Deli's thesis “Discussion on Intellectual Property Insurance of Foreign-Oriented Enterprises” won a second class prize in the thesis category from the Commerce Development Research Achievement Award (2019).

This prize is a social science award established by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and facing the whole country. It is used to reward books, theses, and research reports that are forward-looking, creative, and have high theoretical and academic value in the commerce field, as well as research achievements that have an important impact on government decision-making and practical work. It aims to strengthen commerce strategy and policy research, prosper commerce theory, encourage the nation’s units and individuals to engage in commerce theory, policy research, and practical work to improve the quality and level of research, accelerate the training of commerce research talents, and establish and improve an incentive mechanism for scientific research in the commerce field.
The award is selected biennially. The collection of works in 2019 includes books in the field of commerce from January 1, 2107, to December 31, 2018, and social science research works that have been published in national journals and have high academic theoretical value. Achievement awards collect works in three categories: theses, books, and reports. In each category, there is one first-class prize, three second-class prizes, five third-class prizes, and several outstanding prizes.
