On October 22, 2019, Prof. Dietmar Harhoff, the Director and scientific member at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, gave an academic report entitled “Transfer of Knowledge: Making the World A Better Place” to the related teachers of Shanghai Science and Technology Transfer Colleges and all the teachers and students of SICIP of Tongji University. Based on the theoretical research and practical accumulation of scientific and technological innovation and knowledge transfer, Prof. Dietmar Harhoff explained the different modes and practical problems of knowledge transfer in a simple way and put forward unique views on the dialectical relationship between basic and applied knowledge and market development. The audience showed great interest in the report and had an in-depth dialogue with Prof. Dietmar Harhoff, which promoted the participants’ understanding of the knowledge transfer market and changed their understanding of the social economy.


Before the report, Prof. Fang Shou’en, President of the Academic Board of Tongji University, awarded Prof. Dietmar Harhoff the honorary professor of Tongji University on behalf of Tongji University.
