The Graduation Ceremony of the 2018 International Intellectual Property Master Program successfully held in Tongji University

On July 8, 2019, the Graduation Ceremony of the WIPO-Tongji MIP in Design and The Belt and Road MIP was held at Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property of Tongji University.


The following senior officials participated in the ceremony and delivered speeches, Mr. Gan Shaoning, the Member of the College Council and the Deputy Commissioner of the National Intellectual Property Administration, Mr. Jiang Bo, the Deputy President of Tongji University, Mr. Rui Wenbiao, the Director of Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, Prof. Joseph Straus, the Former Director of Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Germany, Mr. Alessandro E. Cogo, the Head of Intellectual Property Project of Turin in Italy, Ms. Martha Chikowore, the Counsellor of the World Intellectual Property Organization, Mr. Wu Xiaoming, the Deputy Director of the Intellectual Property Protection Department of CNIPA, Mr. Dong Cheng, the Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of CNIPA, Mr. Lu Guoqiang, the Senior Consultant of WIPO in China and Mr. Shi Weidong, the Depute President of Shanghai Law Society. Nearly a hundred people attended the ceremony, including the WIPO global master program representatives from Africa University, Ankara University of Turkey, Jagiellonian University, Queensland University of Technology, University of St Andrews, WIPO experts, representatives of teachers and students of Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property.


On behalf of the 45 students, James Chawarika, Aikaterini Kanellia and He Yicheng thanked the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Chinese Government, the Intellectual Property Department, and Tongji University for their education and cultivation and said they would always remember China as a family.
