On July 9, 2013, CNIPA held a seminar on the National Intellectual Property Training Base, which was held in the National Intellectual Property Training Shanghai Base of  Law School of Tongji University.

Since 2008, with the promulgation and implementation of the Outline of the National Intellectual Property Strategy, the country has established 19 IP training bases nationwide. The base of the National Intellectual Property Training Shanghai Base is established in Tongji University. The base is jointly built by Tongji University and Shanghai Intellectual Property Office.

The National Intellectual Property Training Shanghai Base has a large number of national intellectual property senior talents with the aim of building a high-level intellectual property talent and strategic experts pool based in Shanghai. The training base conducts more than six training programs each year for the society.
