On November 20, 2015, the Fourth Plenary Session of the Fourth Board of Directors of the Chinese Society of Health Law and the 2015 Annual Conference of Health Law were held in Beijing. More than 200 experts and scholars from all over the country attended the meeting. After discussion at the meeting, the establishment of the Medical Intellectual Property Committee was unanimously approved by Professor Song Xiaoting from Tongji University Law School, Professor Ding Jinxi from China Pharmaceutical University, Professor Ma Zhiguo from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Professor Cao Lirong from Tongji University Law School, Associate Professor Wang Yanzhen from Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Associate Professor Zhang Xiaodong from East China University of Science and Technology. The secretariat is located in Shanghai and relies on the “Tongji University Medical Law and Intellectual Property Research Center” as a daily office.

Zhang Yishan, deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Law Society, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Gao Chunfang, president of the Chinese Society of Health Law, and other leaders delivered important speeches.
