On November 9, 2016, Tongji University signed an agreement with the United Nations World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The two sides will give full play to their respective advantages, recruit students from all over the world, and jointly cultivate a master's degree in intellectual property law, to help with the development of Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center. This is the first time that WIPO has cooperated with Chinese universities to cultivate international high-end talents. It is also the first joint talents training project initiated by SICIP, which will be unveiled at Tongji University. Zhong Zhihua, President of Tongji University, and Sherif Saadallah, Executive Dean of the WIPO Intellectual Property Academy, signed the agreement on behalf of both sides. Lv Guoqiang, Director of Shanghai Intellectual Property Office, Joseph Bradley, Head of the WIPO Master's Program, and some teachers and doctoral students of the Intellectual Property College of our university attended the signing ceremony.
