On June 10, Sino-US Symposium on Legal Information and Law Libraries was held in Tongji University Library. Vice President Jiang Bo attended the symposium, together with legal information experts and professors from the Library of Congress, Yale University, Stanford University, Columbia University, University of South (North) Carolina, New York University and Tongji University, ChinaUniversityofPoliticalScienceandLaw, EastChinaUniversityofPoliticalScienceandLaw, etc. This symposium was an important part of Chinese & American Forum on Legal Information & Law Libraries (CAFLL).
Vice President Jiang Bo expressed his congratulations on the opening of this symposium. He stated that the Sino-US Symposium on Legal Information and Law Libraries was a significant platform to promote legal education of China and the United States. He commented that CAFLL was always on a mission to advance the easy use of legal information and the educational development of professionals, and enablement of Chinese and American professional law librarians to fully exert their core roles in collecting, organizing and acquiring legal information. This symposium had an extensive discussion on issues of the new trends and new ideas of legal information service development, the sharing and collaboration of Sino-US international legal information resources, and the applications of new technologies in information service, etc.
