On the afternoon of February 22, Zhao Wen, deputy mayor of Shanghai, went to our college to investigate the construction of SICIP. Zong Ming, deputy secretary-general of the municipal government, Lv Guoqiang, director of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Office, Ding Xiaodong, deputy director of the Shanghai Education Commission, Jin Weimin, deputy director of the Shanghai Finance office, Qin Liping, chief economist of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and Xu Jianhua, deputy head of Yangpu District, accompanied the investigation. Zhao Wen presided over the symposium. Yang Xianjin, the party committee secretary of Tongji University, Zhong Zhihua, the principal of Tongji University,Wu Jiang,the executive vice president of Tongji University and other leaders attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Wu Jiang introduced the development of SICIP. Ding Xiaodong, Lv Guoqiang, Jin Weimin, Qin Liping, and Xu Jianhua made speech at the meeting respectively. Zong Ming fully affirmed the effectiveness of the college's construction in her speech. She said that the establishment of the college has great strategic significance, and it is an important part of promoting the construction of intellectual property power and the construction of Shanghai Science and Technology Center, and it is an important measure for the comprehensive reform of education in Shanghai. As well, Zhao Wen pointed out that as the seventh national intellectual property high-end talent training base of the United Nations World Intellectual Property Organization, the “One Belt, One Road” Chinese Government Intellectual Property Scholarship Program commissioned by the Ministry of Education and SIPO.
