October 19th and 20th2017,Finland Hanken School of EconomicProf. Dr. Nari Leemade lectures in the topics ofthe protection of the European Patent Convention, the Unitary Patent System (including the Supplementary Protection Certificate and the Biotechnology Invention), the trade secrets for the students of SICIP.

Prof. Dr. Nari Leeadjusted the key points of the course according to the students' understanding of the patent law.For the three aspects of the patent, she invited thestudent Mr. Faruk Onder from Turkey and Mr. Adnan Sabir Pakistan who worked as the patent examiners help to explainthe requirement for novelty, that greatlyfurther deepen the students' understanding of the related problems in practice.

In the section of the Trade Secrets,students discussed the trade secret system under the guidance of professor,including its legislative aim, protection intensity and protection time etc.The examples on the perfume recipes and stars’ privacy are very close to the life, which enlightened students make further thinking on the trade secret protection.
