Our Delegation Visited Hong Kong and Macao Universities to Discuss IP Education Issues

From May 22nd to May 25th 2018, Dean SHAN Xiaoguang of Shanghai International Intellectual Property Institute, Tongji University, Associate Dean YU Xinmiao, Director YANG Xin, Associate Professor XU Ming, and PAN Huibin, Research Center of Intellectual Property Education, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan were invited to conduct education exchange visits to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the City University of Hong Kong Law School, and the University of Macau Law School. IP education issues were discussed with relevant IP experts on high-level intellectual property training models and explored the possibility of joint training.


Professors LIU Leting, Dean Assistant LOU Qingmei, Manager MEI Jialingand ZHUANG Haolinof the Hong Kong Polytechnic University met and exchanged ideas with our teachers. They introducedthe model and experience of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in intellectual property education. Professor SHAN and YU introduced the IP education of Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property. Currently, the WIPO project and the Belt and Road project have all successfully operated. The doctoral program for cross-subjects of intellectual property has also been successfully filed with the Ministry of Education.



CHEN Lei, Dean of School of Law, City University of Hong Kong introduced the teaching model of CityU Law School to our teachers. Dr. HE Tianxiang further introduced the research and teaching experience of intellectual property rights.



Dr. WAND Chao of the University of Macau Law School conducted an in-depth discussion with our teachersabout the cooperation model of intellectual property graduate education, and invited them to visit the modern simulation court. Both parties will do further job about exchange visits, seminars, project cooperation and other aspects.



The cultivation of high-end intellectual property education is the direction our institute. This visit to Hong Kong and Macao furthers the diversification of intellectual property education. Our college will further explore the joint training of intellectual property personnel and provide more students with more exchange visits and exchange platforms to improve the quality of intellectual property education.


During the visit to Hong Kong, our teachers visited the outstanding alumni of Tongji University, GUO Yingcheng and Mr. SU Bangjun to thank them for their help with the development of the college.
