On December 6, 2018, Associate Professor Lirong Cao from Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property gave a presentation which title was Trends in the Development of China's Pharmaceutical Patent Law in the school of law of University of Washington. Professor Dongsheng Zang, Professor Anna B. Bosch and Professor Terry Price from Asian Law Center of law school and visiting scholars attended this academic activity.

The presentation introduced China's pharmaceutical patent system and the latest trends in the development of China's pharmaceutical patent law in terms of drug patent linkage system, drug patent term compensation system and drug related trial data protection. After that, Professor Cao, attending professor and other visiting scholars discussed the drug patent linkage system and drug related trial data protection.
