On June 5, 2019, students from WIPO MIP in Design and students from B&R MIP visited Shanghai High People's Court. Tang Zhen, deputy director of the Intellectual Property court of Shanghai High People's Court, Chief judge Kong Liming, Judge Zhang Ying, Tao Ye, and Director of the Foreign Affairs Office Ye Ping attended the reception.

The students listened to the introduction, given by a representative of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai High People's Court. Subsequently, judge Kong Liming introduced the appeal procedure of one industrial design right case. Students heard the trial of another infringement case held by judge Tang Zhen. After the trial, the chief judge and the collegial panel members discussed the main disputes of the case with students. Finally, under the guidance of Director Ye Ping, students visited the courts and information centers of Shanghai High People's Court.
