In order to give international students of Tongji Law School deeper understanding of Chinese culture, Tongji Law School hosted International Students China Culture  Trip Activity for the first time on November 15 and 16, 2013.

The first day’s schedule began in Xitang Ancient Village. While taking small traditional boat on Xu River, international students learned history of Xitang Village from boatman. At night, the group strolled along the Xitang’s special street, and enjoyed night view of Xitang Village. After the one-day trip of Xitang Ancient Village, international students could have more intuitive feelings on Chinese culture and could deeply understand Chinese culture and history.

On November 16, international students also visited Nanbei Lake. The group firstly visited Eagle Nest Top and surrounding hill, and appreciated beautiful scenery of Nanbei Lake. At some Buddhistic and Taoistic sacred places like Yunxiu Nunnery, Baiyun Pavilion and Tanxian Stone City, international students could have deep feelings of Chinese Buddhistic and Taoistic culture.

Xitang Ancient Village is one of top 6 Jiangnan historical ancient villages, and is located in Jiashan County, Zhejiang Province. The Village has already put name on the preparatory list of World Historical and Cultural Heritage. It is considered to be one of the best Chinese historical and cultural attractions.
