In order to deepen intellectual property exchange and cooperation between China and other countries, to promote mutual learning between academia and practice, and to advance the reform of talent development models and the improvement of the global intellectual property governance system, the “International Symposium on Intellectual Property Talent Cultivation and China-Europe Intellectual Property” will be held on November 28, 2026 at Tongji University. Details regarding paper submissions are as follows：
1. Organizers and Guiding Units
The symposium will be organized by Tongji University with guidance from the WIPO Academy.
2. Scope of Submissions
The 2026 Symposium will be held from November 27 to 29, 2026, and will address, among others, the following themes:
Theme 1: Development of International Intellectual Property Talent
Theme 2: Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property
Theme 3: Intellectual Property Protection and Industrial Innovation
Theme 4: Brand Management and Trademark Protection
Theme 5: Digital and Intelligent Intellectual Property and Global Governance
Theme 6: Judicial Resolution of Disputes over Standard Essential Patents
and other frontier issues in intellectual property.
3. Submission Procedure and Deadline
Please submit the following materials by email to 2511919@tongji.edu.cn by October 30, 2026:
I.Submit the full text of the paper (including abstract, keywords, contact information, etc.) in Word document format, with the annotation format following the journal of "Chines Journal of Law";
II.A short biography (200 words or less), as a separate Word document, with a recent photograph included as part of the biography submission.
The email subject line should read “Submission for the 2026 China-Europe IP Judicial Protection Symposium.”
4. Selection and Financial Arrangements
Submissions will be reviewed by an expert panel. Authors of selected papers will be invited to attend the symposium and present their work. Selected participants are exempt from registration fees, and meals during the symposium will be covered by the organizers. Travel and accommodation expenses are to be borne by the participants themselves.
5. Language and Format
The languages of the symposium will be Chinese and English (with simultaneous interpretation).
